Stars that shine high in the sky hear my prayer and grant my wish tonight I have struggled to find the words to express how your beauty cast shadows in my sight wondering on a path that leads nowhere right sacrificing my joy and passion to see the warm glow of your shine, hindering my light, my happiness, and my peace Stars that shine with a heavenly light I fall apart in the presence of your grace as I hold my head up dancing in the shadows of my dreams, hoping this path leads me to where I want to be Stars that shine celestially enlighten my soul, my heart, and my thoughts I'm struggling to stay afloat as the waves of the sea try to swallow me whole finding it hard to see the shore no lifeguard in sight is all hope lost? Stars that radiate in the night sky please grant my wish tonight I wish to have peace in my heart a love in my walk words that soothe instead of hurt I wish to be the girl who dreams upon a star who finds joy in the little things I want my arms to be a home to myself and not a stranger smothering me whole Stars that shine in the vast darkness overhead scatter dust on this path, illuminated by a faint light be a beacon as I sail through this storm of life cradle my soul in your arms and guide me to the place called “home”
